knackered was born out of a final-year university project, but it quickly became much more…a full creative obsession. from a long time dream of making my own clothes to releasing full collections, every piece is crafted with an intense focus on detail.

rooted in kiwi culture, the name "knackered" speaks to the overarching theme of tired and exhaustion, a concept woven into every collection, product name, and visual. knackered is more than just the clothing, it’s about the full experience, from the carefully sourced fabrics, detailed designs, unique photoshoots, cinematic videos, and a seamless customer experience.

this isn’t about filling a gap in fashion, it’s about making clothes I love and hoping others feel the same. every step, from the first sketch to the final shipment is handled with care, usually at the cost of sleep, but that’s the whole idea…

knackered was established in 2022 by thomas while completing his bachelor of design. what began as a personal creative outlet has evolved into an independent label driven by a hands-on, detail-led approach. thomas handles every aspect of the brand, from garment design and fabric sourcing to visual direction, media, and order fulfilment, ensuring a clear and cohesive vision throughout.
